NGH Wild Environmental has made a core new hire to strengthen its Queensland wide offering, as former Whitsunday Regional Council Environment Manager, Adam Folkers joins the firm as the Regional Manager of North Queensland.
Founder and Managing Director Nick Baker announced that the environmental management expert would take over the key management role in March.
The appointment follows a long and detailed recruitment process, which commenced in November last year.
NGH Wild Environmental has proven itself to be one of the most agile, fast-growing, and resilient environmental consulting businesses in North Queensland since 2016. “We’ve outcompeted our competitors, some of which have been operating in North Queensland for over 30 years.
“I feel fortunate to be joining the established team, at a time when we can truly capitalise on the extraordinary growth in environmental service requirements,” Mr Folkers said.
“I am most looking forward to working with the team across the state, the environmental scientists, ecologists, water quality specialists and administrators that have helped build the company to where it is today.
NGH Wild Environmental boss Nick Baker said Mr Folkers had played a pivotal leadership role in previous positions. Prior to joining Wild, Mr Folkers was most recently the Environment and Approvals Specialist for Tassal, Australia’s largest aquaculture player, helping to secure the key approvals necessary for the opening of the Proserpine Prawn Farm. Adam will lead Wild’s NQ Division through the next phase of growth. Although Wild has more ambitious growth on the horizon, for now, it is focused on bedding down its success locally.
Adam has a demonstrated track record of delivering results in large, complex organisations and is a proven leader managing large teams,” Mr Baker said.
